Oh what a weekend!

The weekend has come and gone, two big sales over with. My first sale of the weekend was a great success. I was able to go the day before and set up, which always makes the morning of the sale that much more pleasurable. However, this particular morning, I was bringing an extra table, just to give myself some extra room, so I knew there was still some work to be done. We arrived with plenty of time. That is until the crafter next to us recommended we change our layout to a different configuration. Since she has done this sale before, I took her advice. All was going well, until one of our tables connected with one of her grid walls she had leaning up against her chair, and that fell into the curtains separating the rows, and the weight of the curtain caused the poles to come tumbling down all the way down on either side of us and beyond. Not a good start, and made set up very stressful!

I was too busy to grab my camera and take a picture, but I am sure you can imagine the chaos that ensued!

In the end, the sale was not as busy as anticipated and I didn't need to change the space at all! It was my first time at this particular venue and I was just happy to be there. I myself had good sales so it was a fine day. What made it so fine was the support of some lovey friends, who loved my journals and bought at least 4 among them. They appreciated my cards and bought at least 25 among them! That always makes me appreciate the effort I put into it all. And my daughter got to hang out with a few lovely ladies and a very precious baby, and not be bored sitting with me!

And then there are the other days. The days you wake up May 1st to snow and mean, blowing winds and an unsuccessful sale. Not completely unsuccessful, but one that disappoints and makes you wonder why you do it all.   Then comes the e mail or a post of someone who was nice enough to take the time and thought to tell you they are enjoying what they purchased, or that the person they gifted it to was very appreciative, and it puts a smile back on my face. So thank you. If you sent me that message, I know you will be reading this, and thank you.  There is also the person I remember from the day before, who bought a mothers day card from me, similar to this one.....

And I know he so appreciated it. He was so complimentary of my creations, and all that day, the next day and today, I wondered, who will he give that card to? You see I found out his mom died this year, and I wished I could go back and ask him, and tell him thank you for picking up that card and taking the time to tell me how much you liked it. Thank you, and I am so sorry for your loss.

Some of my favorites, and what seemed to be the favorites of some others were......

My "tea"riffic purses, including tea bags

Made with my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System

Some Mother's Day cards

Graduation cards

Chocolate truffle goodie bags

Teacher list books and Teacher appreciation cards

And some journals

I have one more spring sale and then I think that will be it for a while. I would like to get some scrapbooking done, and book in some workshops.

Thanks for reading, and if you are new to my blog after meeting me this weekend, thanks so much for checking it out, and welcome.
