New Hexagon Border Punch

It's a new year, which means new opportunity to create some great new craft projects! I am not one for making New Years resolutions, I may have certain hopes for the year, have a mental list of things I would like to continue to do, and perhaps a few things I would like to start to do. Nothing specific. With January though, comes clean up time! When the tree gets taken down, the living room always gets an overhaul. I love that feeling.

The same thing goes for my crafting area! A complete overhaul! I wish I had the fore thought to take a picture of exactly how messy my craft room looked  two weeks before Christmas! Let me put it this way, no one was allowed to go to my basement, and if you tried, you would trip over boxes, a vacuum, a turned over chair, and you would have to step over piles of paper to get to the bathroom! My last craft sale ended and I did not take one moment to put anything back where it belonged! A tornado may have made it's way through that room in fact, because that is exactly what it looked like. Shame on me, it stayed that way for about three weeks! Slowly though, I am working my way through it, organizing supplies, completed projects, and new goodies to play with.

Ah, there it is, the new goodies to play with, my inspiration for pushing up my sleeves, blasting a little Prince music, and cleaning it all out! Just before Christmas, I purchased some new tools and paper and some fun things to get down and creative with. I am really looking forward to playing!

One of the new tools, is a Creative Memories border punch cartridge. I love the border maker so much, and I love it even more, when they come out with a cartridge that I love. The new one is a hexagon shape. This was the New Years layout at my last scrapbooking class I taught. Check it out!

One of the other albums that this same group of ladies is working on is a travel album. I love the paper, it was a limited edition Mediterranean Market Paper pack and I am having so much fun creating some bright, fun pages. Now all I have to do is take a hot Caribbean vacation so I have pictures to put in it! I guess if I ever do, lucky me, I'll have an album already made!

Happy Creating everyone! I will be back soon with some more!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I loved reading your story about your tornado of a craft area after your craft shows. Whenever Brandyn's room is a disaster I ask him if a tornado went through there, he always replies with "Nope! Just Hurricane Brandyn!"
