Vintage Chic Designs - Part 2

Another completed album! My new style of workshops really has me and my ladies on a roll! I think this may be the quickest album that I
have ever completed, but I don't think that it lacks in anything. In fact some of the pages I designed are my favorite. Take a look and let me know which ones are your favorite! To see the first half of the album, please check that out here

All pages are designed by me, using Creative Memories Vintage Chic paper. Right about now, I am wishing that I had more of this paper, but in reality, I have so many other great choices of paper to move onto.

Not only have I designed a completed album, but I have added my pictures, all that is left to do is the journaling!

This picture here of my girl just makes me happy! When I look at it, my eyes lock on her eyes, and I love the smile I see all the way through her, reflecting out of her eyes.

This was taken a few years ago in Kelowna at a lavender farm, and I can still smell the beautiful aroma. There was a beautiful little spot on the upper level where you could get lavender tea, lavender scones, lavender lemonade. It was so beautiful, and this is a day I hope to not forget. There was nothing outstanding about it, except for the way I felt when I was there. Purple is one of my favorite colors and I loved seeing the color at every glance, no matter where I was. From the baskets of dried lavender to the dried bouquet to the specs of lavender in my scone, I felt like I was in a place where time could stand still.

You are a touch away

Yet I cannot reach you.

I want to whisper, so only you will hear;

By the guidance of the moon

Meet me, under the willow tree.

When you reach me,

Hold my hand in yours

With the other, touch my face and

Kiss me once, kiss me twice

Take my breath away with your love

When you come to meet me,

Under the willow tree.

We were on a boat ride when I looked to my right and saw this big beautiful willow tree. There has always been a spot in my heart that goes a little pitter patter when I see a willow tree; since I was a child and saw my first willow tree like this in Vancouver, BC while visiting my aunt. I swear on this day, the sight of this tree took my breath away!

I hope you like my Vintage Chic designs, and that they inspire you! Please consider following my blog by entering your e mail address, and I hope that you will follow me on Pinterest for some more inspiration.

Vintage Chic Designs

Here we are, half way through January already! Happily, as of today, I am also half way through designing pages with my Creative Memories Vintage Chic paper.

Oh I have had it stashed away for a while, but with my new workshops, our goal is to work with existing paper that we have, to get our back stash of paper used. Of course so we can all go and buy some new and exciting paper!

Take a look at what I have designed so far!

Half way there! This album has been so much fun for me to design, and I have another 5 layouts done, but I will need to save that for my next blog post. Stay tuned! If you like what you see here, please follow me on Pinterest and pin the images to your own boards for inspiration! You can find me here at A Pinch of Creativity, just click the name!

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

The Cats Meow

This is just a quick post today, lots going on! It has been raining like crazy, and I have been scrapbooking like crazy, trying to design an abundance of pages for my All About You Album class.

I just wanted to share a quick something with you.

A few years ago, I made my daughter one of those 12 x 12 Memory Box frames with pictures of our pets. She loved it! Acted (at the time) like it was the best gift ever. Now I only get that reaction from giving her cash and pop star magazines.

I digress!

Two of our beloved pets have since passed on, and we have replaced them with two others. Cats of course. One of them is my buddy Harvey, the other is her "best friend" Angel. These two have a connection that is so wonderful. This cat truly is her confidant, her friend, her companion and her sunshine. My girlie has been bugging me to make another frame for her, of just Angel. So last weekend I took some time to do just that, and I wanted to share it with you. I love the way the pictures of her turned out!

What do you think of it?

This is a great gift idea, if that special someone has a beloved pet!

I have alot of people who have given me feedback about not being able to sign up to follow my blog or not know how to "subscribe" by e mail, so I created a Facebook Page that will update with each post I do. Could you please make your way over to my Facebook Page here, A Pinch of Creativity, "like" it, and share it with your crafty friends? If there is anything you would like to see me post, please let me know!

Happy Crafting, and thanks for stopping by!

Creative Memories Cakes and Candles

I have been getting ready for my daughters birthday, she's turning twelve! Wow, they don't joke when they say time flies, I can't believe that she is going to be that big!

Her birthday is a month away, but this girl loves birthdays. Her birthday party is done, and that evening she is already dreaming of the next party! Today she was planning out her menu for the party and talking about a new veggie dip she wanted to create and serve. We were sitting outside, it was a beautiful day, so she was thinking of summer menu items. Then she started to talk about her next party already and how she may like to have an evening party outside! The funny thing is, I was thinking the same thing. It will be her welcome into the teen years. The big thirteen.

Anyway, all the party planning inspired me to work on some birthday scrapbooking pages. Not sure if I will use these ones yet for her big day this year. This is using the Creative Memories Cakes and Candles paper.

I also made some cute birthday gift tags with the same paper addition. I placed them on a blue sheet of cardstock, just so it would show up better!

I have definitely been scrap booking more than usual these days! I have two groups who are working on an All About You scrapbook, where we are recording our own personal stories! It has been great, yet challenging all at once! I am really enjoying it, and of course, the journaling is a big part of it, the biggest part actually. It is something I will give my daughter when she is old enough, to learn my story.

I hope to be posting some photos of that very soon!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Where have I been?

Where have I been, and why haven't I been updating my blog? I have been SICK is where I have been. Down and out with a cold, for a whole week before we leave on our vacation. It SHOULD have been a very busy week, checking off my list of last minute things to do, packing, cleaning, making arrangements! Nearly none of it got done though. I did get my rest, and now, at the end of the weekend, I am starting to feel better. Three more days is what I got! I better get busy.....

I have had to fit in a second scrap booking workshop, and summertime is a great theme! Here are the pages we worked on this past Friday.... I liked them, it was an easy layout to do, but looks fun!

I have also worked on a few cards, here and there......

I am taking a 2 week break from crafting because we are going on a road trip to Kelowna, BC and we plan on driving back through the Kootenays. It should be fun. I am looking forward to spending some quiet time in the mountains, taking in alot of breathtaking views, fresh mountain air, and dipping my feet in many cool lakes, and streams along the way.

Before I go, I just needed to share a video of fabulous border making tool that Creative Memories is coming out with July 1st. I can't wait to do a border class, and I am going to have so much fun designing some great borders with this fabulous new tool. What do you think of it?

Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

My Craft Room

Hello!

First I want to tell you how excited I am that I finally figured out how to add an option to my blog, that allows followers to receive my updates by e mail! I hope you will sign up for it, I would appreciate it very much!

On the weekend, my craft area was a MESS! My brother gave me a few shelves and such, that I thought I would use, and when I get something like that, I tear the place apart. No lie. My husband thought it would take me forever to get it looking normal. I knew it wouldn't take too long. It couldn't take me too long, because I have a Friday night scrap booking class with the Crafty Ladies! Yes I named their group!

Anyway, I just wanted to share my scrap booking and craft area with you! It is where I hold my workshops as well as my work area for my Cards by Tannis and my own personal scrap booking. And let me tell you, when I don't have a class going on, I use all the tables! Or when I am preparing for an upcoming sale. It can get really messy!

I move these tables often, depending on how many crafters I have

This is some of my on hand Creative Memories product

some of my CM stickers
This is my sale table of some Creative Memories product I am hoping will sell soon, so let me know if you are interested in anything you see here!

And this table is some of the new product. There are so many new things this March, it is unbelievable. There are many baby albums and quick kits, lots of new paper and these two beautiful albums!

This is another work area that I try to stick to when working on my Cards by Tannis products. I have so much stuff in this area, both completed and working on, that sometimes I get overwhelmed where I should start!

Dave made this area for me, a place to hang my stickers and ribbon!

I love my Stampin up Big Shot!

Well thanks for taking a peak of my scrap booking and crafting area! Have a good week, and oh, I almost forgot to tell you........
